Cork Marts will host a year-end machinery sale on December 9 from its event center in Corrin, just outside Fermoy.
Entries are now accepted for online sale at a price of € 10 per lot. To date, there are two major suppliers who put customs clearance machines for sale.
Items reserved so far include a New Holland TL90 (pictured above). This one dates from 2002, is four-wheel drive and is equipped with a Tanco loader. This was purchased in 2008 from a main New Holland dealer.
There is also a Ford 4600 with loader, a skidsteer, a Gator and other tractors. Non-driven equipment includes balers, bale trailers, grain trailers, fertilizer spreaders, sprayers, hitched livestock trailers and articulated livestock trailers.
The complete catalog will be available from December 7 in the evening.
High demand for loaders at Cork’s last sale
The highlight of the last sale on August 27, 2021 was a 2008 Volvo L45B loader which brought the hammer down to € 40,500. Loaders were obviously in great demand, since a JCB 414S built in 1996 went for € 18,000
Other notable items in the auction included a 1974 County Super Six. Although in operation it needed a complete overhaul, the hammer eventually dropped to € 6,600. A Ford 4600 in similar condition brought in € 4,500.
Good work equipment always wanted
While tractors tended to get the most attention, everyday tools for the job also found enthusiastic buyers. A McHale F560 baler, for example, brought in € 12,600 while a Lely Lotus tedder brought in € 4,200.
A pair of cattle trailers, one Nugent, the other Ivor Williams, each won an auction of € 5,000.
