Bolt BODA will provide passengers with an alternative form of transportation, adding to the growing range of carpooling services available in the market.
The service is also expected to bring Bolt’s convenient, reliable and affordable transportation services closer to its customers, while strengthening its footprint across the country.

The launch brings Bolt’s growing Boda Boda network to three urban centers in Tanzania, including Dar-es-Salaam, Mwanza and Dodoma.
Bolt offers the broadest range of ridesharing options at the most affordable prices in the market and continues to experience steady growth in its operations driven by demand for its quality and affordable services.
Bolt BODA is simply an addition to Bolt’s product line, including Bolt Base and Bolt Lite, to meet the unique travel needs of Dodoma customers.
Customers will access the Bolt BODA rides through the Bolt app with a minimum charge of TZS 1000, TZS 220 per kilometer, TZS 50 per minute and a base fare of TZ 600. Bolt drivers will keep 80% of their earnings because Bolt will only charge a commission. 20% per trip, which applies to both cash and card payment options.
Bolt will only embark boda-boda drivers who have National Identity (ID) cards, valid driver’s licenses, police certificates, LATRA vehicle license, motor vehicle registration cards ( commercial use) and vehicle insurance (commercial).
